Abstract
Background: Pre-school age children are an important period in child development. Family disorders with the stage of development of pre-school age children are socializing developments due to gadget dependence. Found 91% of parents allow children to use gadgets at the age of 3 years, then 77% of them used gadgets at home. Traditional games effectively reduce the tendency to play gadgets, one of which is playing kinetic sand. Research Objectis: To determine the frequency of using gadgets before and after the application of kinetic sand game. Method: This study uses descriptive methods. There were 2 subjects with 4-yearold boys and gadget dependence. The frequency of client dependence is measured using the observation sheet pre and post the kinetic sand game for 3 times. Results of Case Study: From the observations made found An.A playing gadgets in 50 minutes a day and An.D 40 minutes. After intervening the kinetic sand game decreased for An.A 1st day became 40 minutes, 2nd became 25 minutes, and 3rd 15 minutes. Wheares An.D 1st day becomes 30 minutes, 2nd becomes 20 minutes, 3rd becomes 10 minutes. Conclusion: The application of kinetic sand games can reduce the frequency of gadget dependence on pre-school age children. Recommendation: Kinetic sand games can be used as a medium to reduce gadget dependence on children.
