Abstract
Background: Gastritis is a condition is a which there is inflamation of the gastric mucosa resulting in swelling of the gastric musoca and releasing the superficial epithelium which causes digestive tract disorder. This is happened due to irregular eating patterns. The stomach acid production enhascement stimulated by the consumption of food drink Helicobacter pylory, also called H. Pylory, is the cause of chronic gastritis. One of the treatment for gastritis patiens is warm water compression. Objective: To describe nursing care by applying warm water compress therapy to reduce pain in gastritis patiens. Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach toward 2 patients who experience gastritis pain. Results:After given nursing care for 5 meetings there was a decrease in the pain scale of patients 1 on average 2 scale and the decrease in the pain scale of Patient 2 on average 3 scale, pain can be reduced and we conclude that compress warm water therapy was effective to reduce the level of pain.
