Abstract
Background: Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, in some patients with hypertension can be experienced anxiety due to an increase in blood pressure. Anxiety is as an uncomfortable feeling or worry that is fearful caused by anticipation of danger. Anxiety can be overcome with murottal therapy is one of the psychotherapy that can be reduced anxiety. Objective: This case study was to describe nursing care in anxiety sufferers with murottal therapy approach. Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a case study approach to 2 hypertensive patients with anxiety in the Sampang Village, Sempor District. Evaluate signs and symptoms of anxiety using theinstrument (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale) DASS. Murottal therapy is given for 6 sessions with a duration of 40 minutes. Results: Evaluation that there was a decrease in signs and symptoms of anxiety in client 1 by 11 scores (moderate anxiety) was greater than in client 2, which was 10 scores (moderate anxiety). An increase in the ability to perform murottal therapy on client 1 and client 2 with the same value is increased by 3 abilities (60%). Recommendations: This case study is to apply murottal therapy to reduce anxiety in clients with hypertensive anxiety disorder
