Abstract
Background: Contraction just after the baby is born will cause pain to the postpartum mother. The contractions were very severe resulting in tremendous pain. These uterine contractions occur physiologically and causes pain that can interfere the mother in the postnatal (postpartum). Pain (after pain), such as heartburn-heartburn is caused by uterine contractions that lasts 2-4 days post partum 1 value. Consequently, the mother needs to get an understanding of the pain. Objective: To find out the effect of effleurage massage technique towards the changes of uterine contraction pain of Mrs. F, a 27 year-old mother in private midwifery clinic of Midwife Ajijah at Buluspesantren, Kebumen. Method: This scientific paper is descriptive research with case study approach. The case study was conducted by showing the pain scale observation sheet of Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) to Mrs. F This was also done by applying effleurage massage technique to reduce the pain of uterine contractions on day 2 to 4 postpartum. Result: After having effleurage massage technique, the pain in uterine contraction of Mrs. F was decreasing. Conclusion: There is an influence of effleurage massage technique to the changes of contraction pain of post partum mother.
