Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, the disease is occupying the third position after heart disease and cancer. A total of 28.5 % of patients died and the rest suffered partial or total paralysis. Only 1% are able to make a full recovery from a stroke and disability . The general objective: the purpose of writing a scientific paper provides an overview of nursing care problems meeting the needs of self-care in patients with stroke. Nursing Resume: authors conducted studies related to the problems experienced by the patient, the patient is unconscious, muscle weakness, the family said patients could not conduct their activities, the family said that during the illness need help from others and not taking care of themselves dairy. The results obtained nursing diagnoses: ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion associated with blood flow to the brain is blocked, physical mobility constraints associated with neuromuscular weakness, self-care deficit associated with neuromuscular weakness. Discussion: matters discussed include understanding of the diagnosis, plan of action and the evaluation of nursing problems. Ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion problem is overcome by using oxygen, using ngt. Barriers to physical mobility problems addressed by the ROM. Self-care deficit problem addressed by performing oral hygiene. Conclusion: after the act of nursing on the third issue, the problems are not resolved patients
