Abstract

Background : Hypertension or high blood pressure is a systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic more than 90 mmHg . headache is a common thing that people with hypertension feel . Non-pharmacological treatment in people with hypertension is most important because it has side effects . Nonpharmacological therapy that can be done in people with hypertension is foot reflexology therapy . Purpose: provide an overview of acute pain nursing care with the foot reflection climbing method to lower blood pressure in kalipurwo village Method: This research is in the form of a pre-experimental design case study with a pre-test-post test design. The sample consisted of 3 people with hypertension with age criteria of 20-70 years. Results: the results obtained are that before being given foot reflexology therapy in people with hypertension, patients experience headaches on a scale of 6 after being given therapy the client experienced a decrease of 1-2 levels of pain and experienced a decrease in blood pressure of 2-6 mmHg.
