Abstract

Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition where the pressure in the blood against the large arterial chambers. In general, hypertension is defined as blood pressure above 140/90 mmHg. Hypertension causes an increase in vascular pressure, after which vasoconstriction is established, causing circulation constraints. The rotational constraints cause the resistance of blood vessels to the brain to increase, causing the formation of pain or headaches. Objective: To describe the results of nursing care with acute pain nursing problems in hypertension patients in Pasuruan, Cilacap. Methods: This paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study instrument uses a nursing care format, SOP for warm compresses, SOP for measuring acute pain in hypertensive patients. Subjects consisted of 3 hypertension patients. The data were analyzed descriptively on nursing care. Results: Based on the results of the assessment conducted on Patients I-III, the main complaint felt was acute pain in both the head and neck. The priority nursing diagnosis in hypertensive patients is acute pain related to disease (hypertension). Nursing interventions carried out were assessing the pain scale, measuring vital signs, giving warm compresses to reduce pain. The implementation of nursing carried out is assessing the pain scale, measuring vital signs, giving warm compresses to reduce pain. The results of the nursing evaluation in 3 patients showed that the acute pain problem was resolved by decreasing the level of pain. Patient I experienced 3 scales of pain reduction and 40 mmHg decrease in systolic. Patient II experienced 3 scales of pain reduction and 50 mmHg decrease in systolic. Patient III experienced 2 pain reduction scales and 50 mmHg decrease in systolic Recommendation: It is hoped that warm compresses can be applied to overcome the problem of acute pain in the neck in Hypertensive patients and to add scientific papers about warm compresses to reduce blood pressure
