Abstract

Background: The common problems during pregnancy are nausea and vomiting, fullness, constipation, obesity, pregnancy poisoning and anemia of pregnant mothers. The prevalence of anemia of pregnant mothers in Indonesia is 37.1%. Anemia can threaten the growth of the fetus if it is not immediately treated. Besides, anemia is the main cause of maternal death during childbirth. This usually occurs due to bleeding. Consuming boiled eggs and fe tablets is able to overcome anemia. Iron content of an egg can increase hemoglobin level. Objective: To know the effect of boiled egg and fe tablet consumption on the increase of hemoglobin level of pregnant mothers with anemia in trimester III. Method: This scientific paper uses analytical descriptive method with case study design (case study). Data collection is taken from assessment, examination, provision of care and observation. Result: After consuming boiled eggs and fe for 28 days, the hemoglobin level of the first participant increase of 1.4 gr / dL, the second participant increase of 1.9 gr / dL, the third participant increase of 2.2 gr / dL, the fourth participant increase of 1.3 gr / dL. Conclusion: The consumption of boiled eggs and fe tablets can increase hemoglobin levels of pregnant mothers
