Abstract
Background : Mild head injury (CKR) is a head injury or trauma to the head that occurs in the skull, brain or both, which is usually accompanied by or without painful effects, damage to the brain structure. Pain is a disorder that must be treated immediately so as not to interfere with the healing process. This is a health problem that can cause complex physical and mental disorders. This can result in depression or anxiety. One non-pharmacological therapy to reduce pain is slow deep breathing which can be done independently easily and effectively. Objective : To describe nursing care by providing Slow Deep Breathing to patients with mild head injuries with the main problem of acute pain at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method : This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data was obtained through interviews, observation and medical record data. Participants were 3 patients with the same diagnosis, the instruments used were therapy observation sheets, and lab results. Results : After 3 days of slow deep breathing therapy, all participants experienced mild head injuries. Conclusion: Slow deep breathing therapy is effective in acute pain in CKR patients.
