Abstract

Background: hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in arterial blood vessels over a long period of time with systolic pressure values exceeding 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure exceeding 90 mmHg. The blood that supplies oxygen and nutrients has problems getting to the body's tissues. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can control blood pressure and pain in hypertensive client is autogenic relaxation therapy. Objective: describe nursing care to clients with the application of autogenic relaxation therapy to lower blood pressure hypertensive clients in Kedungjati Village, Sempor District. Method: this scientific paper was in the formed of a case studied with the client subject had a history of hypertension as many as 3 respondents in Kedungjati village which carried out for 3 days. To determine the presence of a decrease in blood pressure is attached an evaluation sheet. Results: after being given autogenic relaxation therapy for 3 days, the blood pressure client of hypertensive clients decreased. Recommendation: the application of autogenic relaxation therapy can lower blood pressure in hipertension clients and can be done independently at home
