Abstract

Background: Hypertension as a condition in which diastolic blood pressure rises above normal over 90 MMHG and systolic blood pressure increases above normal by more than 140 MMHG. Hypertensive symptoms include dizziness, pain, sleeplessness, tiredness, a heavy head, and heavy neck. One of the nonpharmacological medications that lower blood pressure is to administer foot therapy with warm ginger water. Purpose: Nurture in hypertension care for hypertensive seniors in meeting acute pain and comfort needs. The method: This scientific treatise is descriptive with approach to case studies. Data obtained from studies, interviews, and observations with three respondents suffering from hypertension. Results: After a three-day application of foot bath therapy with warm water for three consecutive days, the blood pressure of the three clients dropped an average of 0-5 MMHG and diastolic 0-4 MMHG. Recommendation: Hypertensive people can be treated with warm ginger and foot therapy as non - pharmacological therapy for lowering blood pressure.
