Abstract
Background: A stroke is a medical condition that occurs when blood vessels in the brain suffer damage or tissue death because of obstructed blood flow and oxygen. This condition can cause brain function and, in some cases, a drop in awareness. The main cause is ischemia, which results in a lack of diffusion of brain tissue. Strokes are often accompanied by increased intracranial pressure, marked by headaches and lowered consciousness. Stroke patients often experience cognitive impairment because of blockage of type paci (partial anterior reception infarct) occurs in branches of the anterior cerebral artery and media and letikulostriata arteries or half of the brain, resulting in more cognitive function disorders. Purpose: Describes nursing care and application of memory therapy using a puzzle on stroke patients at pku muhammaduyah gombong Research methods: The study uses descriptive analysis methods. Case studies are conducted during 3 meetings on 3 respondents. Results: The practice of jigsaw puzzle therapy on non-hemorrhagic stroke patients as an effort to increase memory is proven to be effective with an average increase of mmse 4 at moderate to moderate range. Recommendation: Jigsaw puzzle therapy can be one of the solutions that can be used to treat perceived memory disorders asa form of complementary therapies that promote self-praise and can be done independently
