Abstract

Background; Anxiety or anxiety is a feeling of fear that comes from external or internal so that the body has a response behaviorally, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. One way to overcome anxiety in patients is to use the 5-finger hypnosis technique. Functional 5-finger hypnosis is a method of self-hypnosis that results in a state of deep relaxation effectively reducing tension, stress, and anxiety. Purpose, to analyze nursing care with 5-finger hypnosis therapy to reduce anxiety symptoms for patients with hypertension in the emergency room of RSI Banjarnegara Methodology, through a case report approach (case study) conducted on 5 hypertensive patients who experienced anxiety with the application of a 5-finger hypnosis intervention. The results of nursing care, The level of anxiety decreased with the criteria of verbalization of worry due to the condition being faced decreased, restless behavior decreased, and paleness decreased. 5-finger hypnosis relaxation in hypertensive patients who experience anxiety shows a decrease in the anxiety scale, this shows that 5-finger hypnosis relaxation therapy is effective in lowering the anxiety scale in hypertensive patients who experience anxiety. The next researcher's recommendation It is expected to carry out a case study by applying a blood pressure check after 5-finger hypnosis.
