Abstract

Background: Patients with Diabetes Mellitus, changes in the body's ability to react to insulin can decrease, or the pancreas can stop producing insulin. Buerger Allen Exercise is a varied motion exercise in the lower limbs by utilizing the force of gravity which is done gradually and regularly. Blood disorders to the periphery can be known through the examination of the Angkle-Brachial Index. Research Objective: To describe the results of nursing care for the application of buerger allen exercise in patients with diabetes mellitus with ineffective peripheral perfusion at KRT Setjonegoro Wonosobo Hospital. Research Methods: This study uses a descriptive method of case study approach, with a total research sample of 5 respondents. The research instrument used was the buerger allen exercise. Buerger allen exercise innovation is given three times with an interval of 24 hours and a duration of 10 minutes. Results: The results of the assessment that have been carried out on five respondents suffering from Diabetes Mellitus obtained data that the five respondents experienced peripheral tissue perfusion. The nursing intervention given is the provision of buerger allen exercise. After implementation for three times with an interval of 24 hours and a duration of 10 minutes, the results showed that the provision of buerger allen exercise in improving peripheral tissue perfusion. Recommendations for further research: is to utilize the findings of this study as foundational data for further research. It is advisable that future studies allocate sufficient time, resources, and facilities efficiently, while involving families in these interventions whenever possible.
