Abstract

Background : According to research by the Indonesian consumer foundation, 98,7% of elementary school children choose to eat snacks at school. The results of Pratiwi’s research in 2022 at SD Negeri 238 Gresik, the percentage of crossword puzzle game media assessment was 88% suitable for use with a category of 70-100% using crossword puzzle games as educational media. The positive impact of crossword puzzles can foster shildren’s interest in learning atmosphere for children and can hone concentration and critical thinking. Objective : Describe Nursing Care For Knowledge Deficit Problems in School-age Children About the Dangers of Buying Snacks Carelessy Through Educational Media Crossword Puzzle Game. Method : This paper uses a descriptive method with a case report approach, data was obtained through observation and interview with 3 respondents in grade 5 of elementary school. The measurement instrument used a questionnaire. Results : After being given health education through crossword puzzles for 3 meetings, children’s knowledge increased, as evidenced by the increase in quitionnaire scores from before and after the education was given. Conclusion : Health education using crossword puzzles as a medium can increase children’s knowledge about the dangers of buying snacks carelessly.
