Abstract

Background: Elderly is a process of human development, starting from infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, until entering the elderly category at the age of 60 years.. Many complicated diseases that attack the elderly including hypertension. The diagnosis that appears in elderly clients with hypertension is the risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion. Objective: Describes nursing care for elderly patients with hypertension using rose aromatherapy. Method: The type of research is qualitative with descriptive research methods, giving aromatherapy rose therapy in elderly clients with hypertension, data collection through data analysis which was then presented to respondents in this study were 3 clients and 3 days of care. Results: The application of rose aromatherapy to elderly clients with hypertension as an effort to lower blood pressure has proven effective with the elderly's diastolic blood pressure improving, systolic blood pressure improving with the results of the application of rose aromatherapy on the first to third day improving. Recommendation: Rose aromatherapy is one solution to overcome hypertension in the elderly.
