Abstract

Background: Oxytocin massage is a massage of the spine from nerve 5-6 to the scapula to improve the work of parasympathetic nerves channeling commands from the back of the brain to produce the hormone oxytocin to the maximum. The way oxytocin massage works is to maximize blood flow, stimulate the uterus, induce contractions, so as to speed up the course of labor. Objective: Find out the application of oxytocin massage to determine the results of the duration of labor during the active phase I after the application of oxytocin massage. Method: This study used a descriptive case study approach. The application was carried out during February to March 2025 with the application of oxytocin massage to the duration of labor in the active phase I stage. Respondents as many as 3 people with the category of all willing laboring mothers who have entered the inclusion criteria. Data on the application of oxytocin massage through observation sheets and documentation. Result: From the application of oxytocin massage on 3 respondents, there were appropriate results in labor during the active phase I. Conclusion: The application of oxytocin massage to the length of labor during the active phase I.
