Drug interactions are defined as pharmacological or clinical responses to the administration of drugs in combination or taken together that then alter the effectiveness of one drug to another. Objective, To find out the description of potential drug interactions in hypertensive patients in the outpatient clinic of PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Methods, Observational Analytical Study of Cross-sectional Methods in Retrospective. Result, Out of a total of 100 patients, there were 82 interactions (82%). The monotherapy that is often prescribed by the ARB grup is candesartan (12%), followed by the CCB grup is amlodipine (7%). The most common combination of two antihypertensive drugs was amlodipine + candesartan (10%). There were 3 interactoins, comprising 42 cases (13.37%) of minor severity, 265 cases (84.39%) of moderate severity, and 7 cases (2,22%) of major severity. Conclusion, The majority of minor drug interactions involved sucralfate and lansoprazole. Moderate interactions were most frequently observed between bisoprolol and spironolactone. Major interactions were identified between bisoprolol and propranolol, clonidine and bisoprolol, and digoxin and lansoprazole. Recommendation, Future research should be conducted on drug interactions in hypertensive patients with comorbidities.
