Abstract

Background: Medicine storage is an essential part of pharmaceutical management aimed at maintaining drug stability, safety, and quality, while preventing physical or chemical deterioration. To ensure that the quality of medicines received by the public meets established standards, this study evaluated the medicine storage system at Kasih Terjalin Pharmacy in accordance with the Minister of Health Regulation Number 73 of 2016. Objective: To examine the medicine storage system at Kasih Terjalin Pharmacy and determine its compliance with the Minister of Health Regulation Number 73 of 2016. Methods: This research employed a descriptive method with an observational approach. Results: The medicine storage system, consisting of seven indicators, and the storage facilities, consisting of six indicators, fully complied with the standards stated in the Minister of Health Regulation Number 73 of 2016. Conclusion: The medicine storage system at Kasih Terjalin Pharmacy achieved 100% compliance with the standards of Minister of Health Regulation Number 73 of 2016. The storage facilities also achieved 100% compliance. However, labeling and arrangement of Look-Alike Sound-Alike (LASA) medicines, as well as storage based on therapeutic classification, have not been optimally implemented.
