Abstract

Proper and correct drug storage will facilitate effective drug dispensing, prevent dispensing errors, prevent drug damage, improve cost efficiency, and maintain drug stability. A pharmacy is a specific place where pharmaceutical work is carried out and pharmaceutical preparations and other health supplies are distributed to the community. This study has a specific objective: to determine the medication storage system at the Ajibarang Medicine Station Pharmacy and to assess whether the storage system aligns with Ministry of Health Regulation No. 9 of 2017. The study employed a descriptive observation method, involving direct observation of activities at the pharmacy. Based on the results of observations and direct monitoring of activities, it was found that drug storage complies with the standards of Ministry of Health Regulation No. 9 of 2017. The results of the study on the storage system at the Medicine Station Pharmacy indicate that it aligns with the guidelines of Ministry of Health Regulation No. 9 of 2017, with a compliance rate of 100%, which falls under the category of “very good.” This indicates that the pharmacy has implemented storage practices in accordance with the guidelines, such as: maintaining temperature, having proper storage facilities, and using an alphabetical and FIFO FEFO storage system. These practices are important to ensure the quality and safety of medications and to improve the effectiveness of pharmaceutical services at the pharmacy
