Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease (NCD) that is often experienced by developed and developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. High blood pressure is called the "Silent Killer", because this disease is a disease that causes death to sufferers. General Objective: To explain nursing care for hypertensive patients with acute pain nursing problems in the Asoka Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. Method: This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The sample consisted of 5 hypertensive patients. The case study instrument used the SOP for murrotal therapy of the letter ar rahman, the SOP for giving lavender aromatherapy and observation sheets before and after therapy. Nursing Care Results: The results of the application carried out on 5 patients, all of whom experienced acute pain nursing problems and were given murrotal therapy of the letter ar rahman for 15-30 minutes first, then given lavender aromatherapy simultaneously for 10-15 minutes, after the intervention ended 15 minutes later measurements were taken using an observation sheet. Then observed before and after therapy. After the application of therapy to 5 patients, the results showed a decrease in restless attitudes, protective attitudes, tension and grimacing decreased. Recommendation: The results of this study can be applied to patients with acute pain complaints to reduce restless attitudes, protective attitudes, tension and grimacing by means of non-pharmacological therapy. Conclusion: The results of the application of nursing action innovations showed that there was a decrease in restless attitudes, protective attitudes, tension and grimacing.
