Abstract

Background : In recent years, the number of Cesarean Section (CS) surgeries has increased significantly, reaching more than 21% of total births as of June 2021. This number is projected to continue rising, with an estimated 29% of deliveries expected to be conducted via CS by 2030. One of the common side effects experienced after a cesarean delivery is pain due to surgical incisions in the abdominal tissue. One intervention that can be applied is the use of foot massage and Murottal therapy to reduce patient pain. Purpose : To analyze the nursing care of post-cesarean mothers experiencing pain due to the procedure, focusing on the nursing problem of acute pain. Method : This study used a case study approach. A total of five patients were included as samples. Pain was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale before and after the intervention. The intervention was carried out for three days during the care process. Nursing Care Outcome : The main nursing problem identified was acute pain. Intervention: Pain management using Murottal and foot massage therapy. The intervention was conducted according to standard procedures with a duration of 10–15 minutes over three consecutive days. Evaluation results from all five patients showed a reduction in pain. Conclusion : Murottal and foot massage therapy have an effect on reducing acute pain in post-cesarean section patients.
