Abstract

Background: Based on data from the Central Java Provincial Health Profile in 2022, 4,794 cases of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) were found in Central Java. The high prevalence of benign prostatic hyperplasia both in the world and in Indonesia shows that BPH is a significant health problem for elderly men, TURP has been the basis of surgical treatment for LUTS/BPO for more than 90 years. Disorders experienced by post-TURP patients are usually urinary elimination disorders such as urinary incontinence. Objective: to provide nursing care for BPH Post-TURP patients with nursing problems of urinary elimination disorders at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Gombong. Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 BPH Post-TURP patients with nursing problems of urinary elimination disorders. Data collection using observation, interview and documentation study techniques. Results: Evaluation of the five patients showed that after being given Kegel exercises, patients experienced a decrease in urination frequency, increased urination ability, increased urination sensation, decreased nocturia and decreased or no Vu distension. Conclusion: Kegel exercise innovation actions can be applied to overcome the problem of urinary elimination disorders in Post Op TURP patients
