Abstract

Background: Congestive heart failure can affect the psychology of people with congestive heart failure such as anxiety, stress, depression, helplessness, fear. Anxiety is the majority that occurs in the inpatient room. Objectives: The study was descriptive analytical with a Cross sectional approach in CHF totaling 109 respondents in the inpatient and poly rooms with. Anxiety measurement uses the HADS questionnaire. Sampling by incidental sampling method. Analyze data with frequency and percentage. Results: The results of demographic data for gender were mostly male 68 (62.4%), age over 60 years old 42 (38.5%), elementary and junior high school education 76 (69.7%), length of illness over 5 years old 55 (50.4%). The level of anxiety of respondents was mostly moderate with a total of 61 respondents (56%). Conclusion: The level of anxiety in CHF patients at RSU Permata Medika Kebumen is mostly in the moderate category. Recommendation: It is expected that nurses make efforts or actions to reduce anxiety in CHF patients.
