Abstract
Background: High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a chronic condition characterized by systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg (WHO, 2019). In 2021, the World Health Organization noted that hypertension is an urgent public health issue and the leading cause of premature death worldwide. Objective: Describes the results of ineffective peripheral perfusion nursing care in hypertensive patients in the emergency room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Regional General Hospital. Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a case study approach. The sample consisted of 5 hypertensive patients. The case study instrument used a standard operating procedure (SOP) for foot massage. Results: Based on the results of the foot massage therapy conducted by the author, five patients experienced changes in blood pressure. This exercise is suitable for patients experiencing pain in hypertension. The author applied this exercise to the five patients twice, with each session lasting 10-15 minutes. Recommendation: The results of this study can be applied to patients with complaints of hypertension in the nursing diagnosis of ineffective peripheral perfusion using non-pharmacological circulation management based on evidence-based nursing practice with the application of foot massage therapy to lower blood pressure in a non-pharmacological manner
