Abstract

Background, Emergency events that occur suddenly require the community as first responders to have the right first aid skills. The high mortality rate due to injuries, heart disease, and the risk of accidents in outdoor activities shows the importance of increasing the capacity of the community, including pokdarwis. Previous studies have proven that first aid education and simulations are effective in improving knowledge and skills. However, at Jemur Adventure Park, pokdarwis have never received education related to first aid, so standard training is needed to improve preparedness in dealing with emergency situations. Purpose of Research, This study aims to determine the influence of health education education about first aid on the level of knowledge of pokdawis in the dry adventure park. Research Method, This study uses a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method with one group pre-test post-test design. The sample collection technique used total sampling and analysis in this study used the wilcoxon test. The results of this study show that there is a difference in the level of knowledge before and after education about first aid. The results of the analysis on the Wilcoxon test resulted in p-value = 0.00 (p>0.05) In conclusion, this study obtained the results of the Wilcoxon test with the result of p-value = 0.00 (p>0.05) so that it can be concluded that there is an influence of first aid health education education on the level of knowledge of pokdarwis members in Jemur Adventure Park. Recommendation, For future researchers, it is hoped that they can conduct research with an experimental design involving control groups so that educational effects can be compared more accurately.
