Abstract

Background: The elderly (seniors) are individuals who have reached the age of over 60 years. Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure within the range of ≥ 140/90 mmHg. In older age, there tends to be an increase in blood pressure due to thickening and stiffness of the blood vessel walls. Objective: Describing Nursing Care for Elderly Patients with Hypertension Using Deep Tissue Massage Therapy to Reduce Blood Pressure in Seboro Village, Sadang Subdistrict. Method: This study uses a descriptive case study method. The respondents consisted of a total of 5 people. The instrument used is Deep Tissue Massage. Results: The nursing evaluation results on hypertensive patients indicate that the acute pain problem related to the physiological injury agent has been addressed, as evidenced by a decrease in the pain scale from moderate to mild. Results The results of the nursing evaluation from the five families with adolescents show that all families can address issues with the improvement of the adolescents' sleep quality, alongside increased communication among family members, and a decrease in feelings of being neglected. Conclusion : The results of the innovation of Deep Tissue Massage technique on patients with hypertension experiencing acute pain show a decrease in the pain scale from moderate to mild. This indicates that Deep Tissue Massage is effective as a complementary therapy in reducing acute pain. Recommendation: It is hoped that this scientific work can serve as material for consideration or reference for future authors or can be further developed to explore topics related to various approaches, such as increasing the duration of interventions or combining more varied actions
