Abstract

Background: Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18 of 2014 explains that people with mental disorders (ODGJ) experience disorders of thought, emotions, and behaviors that have an impact on life functioning. ODGJ caregivers are at risk of experiencing anxiety due to the burden of care, stigma, and limited knowledge. This study aims to apply nursing care to families with anxiety through 5-finger hypnosis therapy and murrotal spirituality in the working area of the Sempor 1 Health Center. Main Objective: Able to apply the standard implementation of Nursing Care to families who have anxiety in caring for ODGJ in the Work Area of the Sempor 1 Health Center through 5-Finger Hypnosis Therapy and Murrotal Spiritual Methods: The method used was a case study on 5 caregivers with anxiety, conducted for 5 meetings (30 minutes/session) through the stages of the nursing process. The instruments used included the format of psychosocial nursing care, the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) questionnaire, and the SOP for psychiatric nursing. Nursing Care Outcomes: Results showed an average decrease in anxiety from the five clients after 5 meetings with a percentage of (13.82%) with the highest decrease obtained in P4 clients with a reduction in anxiety of 16.7%. Recommendation: It was concluded that 5-finger hypnosis and spiritual murrotal therapy was effective in reducing anxiety in caregivers with ODGJ. It is recommended that health workers can implement this intervention as an effort to prevent psychosocial problems in the family.
