Abstract
Background: Urinary tract stones (UTS) remain a significant health problem influenced by various factors, including drinking habits. Although knowledge is considered an important determinant of preventive behavior, adequate knowledge does not always translate into healthy practices. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between community knowledge of urinary tract stones and drinking habits in Redisari Village, Rowokele District. Methods This study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design. A total of 70 respondents aged 40–60 years were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires assessing knowledge and drinking habits. Univariate and bivariate analyses were performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: Most respondents had a moderate level of knowledge (80%), while the majority demonstrated insufficient drinking habits (60%). Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.076 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between knowledge level and drinking habits. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between community knowledge of urinary tract stones and drinking habits in Redisari Village. Recommendations For Future Researchers: Health promotion programs should emphasize behavioral change strategies and environmental support, not solely knowledge improvement.
