Abstract

Background: Hallucinations are a form of perceptual disorder in which individuals perceive a sensory experience even though there is no external stimulus that actually triggers the perception. But drawing allows a person to channel and understand their feelings through art and creative processes, with the aim of improving cognitive, effective, and pricomotor function General Objective: To describe the results of the analysis of nursing care in clients with hallucinogenic sensory disorders with distraction educational actions using drawing therapy in the Al-afiyat room of PKU Muhammdiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: The design used in this case study was descriptive using an educational intervention using drawing therapy in patients with hallucinogenic sensory perception disorders. The educational action of drawing distraction is carried out 2 times in 2 days with a duration of approximately 30-40 minutes. The instruments used were nursing care format instruments, PSYRAT (Psyhotic Symptom Rating Scale), drawing ability evaluation sheet. Nursing Care Outcomes: After nursing implementation during 3x meetings, the results were obtained in all five clients that the nursing actions given were effectively applied to clients with hallucinations. This is evidenced by a very significant decrease in clients or the largest occurred in patients Mrs. R (73.8%) and Mr. K (71.8%). Recommendation: Providing distraction educational nursing measures using drawing therapy in patients with hallucinations is characterized by a decrease in hallucination signs and symptoms and an increase in the ability to control hallucinations.
