Abstract

Background: Elderly is a lifelong process, not only starting from a certain time, but starting from the beginning of life. Several health problems arise in the elderly, one of which is stroke. A stroke occurs due to disorders of the blood vessels in the brain, namely in the form of blocked blood vessels in the brain or rupture of blood vessels in the brain. The brain, which should receive a supply of oxygen and nutrients, becomes disturbed. Some ways to manage impaired physical mobility in stroke patients are by applying the ROM Sphericalgrip. Objective: Explaining nursing care and providing spherical grip ROM to stroke patients in Pujotirto Village, Karangsambung District, Kebumen Regency Methods: This scientific work uses descriptive research in the form of a case study. The number of samples taken was 5 respondents. The instruments used were the gerontic nursing care format, nursing kit, SOP ROM Sphericalgrip, medical research council scale, observation sheet of muscle strength abilities and vital sign. The action taken was ROM Sphericalgrip for 1 week. Results: The nursing problem in this scientific work is physical mobility disorders. The intervention used was Spericalgrip ROM. Implementation was carried out for 1 week with a frequency of 2 meetings a day with a duration of 15 minutes. The evaluation results for the five clients showed a significant increase in movement ability. Recommendation: The results of the innovation in providing spherical grip ROM therapy have proven to be effective in increasing muscle strength in stroke patients.
