Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries over a long period of time with a systolic pressure value exceeding 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure of less than 90 mmHg. The blood that supplies oxygen and nutrients has problems getting to the body's tissues. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can reduce pain in hypertensive patients is Benson relaxation therapy and murotal al-Qur'an. Objective: Describes nursing care for clients with the application of Benson relaxation therapy and Al-Quran recitation to reduce pain in hypertensive clients in Sidoharum Village, Sempor District. Method: This Scientific Paper used the form of a case study with 3 respondents in Sidoharum Village. The subject of hypertension clients history were conducted by 3 days. To determine the decrease in pain felt, an evaluation sheet is attached. Results: After being given Benson relaxation therapy and Al-Quran recitation for 3 days, pain in hypertensive patients decreased. Results: After being given murottal Al-Quran and Benson relaxation therapy for 3 days, the pain in hypertensive patients decreased. Recommendation: The application of murottal Al-Quran and Benson relaxation therapy can reduce pain in hypertension patients and can be done independently at home.
