Abstract
Background: Bronchopneumonia is an infection causing lung inflammation and making the patient become lack of oxygen. Applying inhalation therapy is a treatment for patients with bronchopneumonia. Objective: Describing the application of inhalation therapy to reduce short breath of a kid having bronchopneumonia. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The subject of this case is a kid with bronchopneumonia being hospitalized. Data was obtained through interview, observation, and physical examination. The data was presented in the form of narrative text and frequency distribution table. Result: After having the application of inhalation therapy, there were decreases in respiration rate from 68 x/minutes to be 36 x/minutes, ronchi breath voice, and the wall chest was not pulled inside anymore. Conclusion: The application of inhalation therapy is effective to reduce the short breath of bronchopneumonia of a kid. Keywords: Bronchopneumonia, inhalation therapy
