Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is the second leading cause of death after HIV/AIDS and one of the 20 leading causes of death worldwide. The 2022 Global TB Report estimates the incidence of TB in Indonesia in 2021 at 969,000 or 354 per 100,000 population. The estimated tuberculosis (TB) mortality rate is 144,000 deaths or 52 per 100,000 population, equivalent to approximately 0.05%. The role of the family in preventing the transmission of Pulmonary TB is very important, because the family's task is to provide care for sick family members and prevent transmission to healthy family members. However, there are still problems with ineffective family health management where families are lacking in providing support and monitoring treatment. Objective: family nursing care at the stage of adult family development suffering from Pulmonary TB with the main nursing problem of ineffective family health management in Wonosobo. Method: This scientific paper uses a case study design. The case study subjects were 5 families at the adult development stage with ineffective family health management nursing problems. Data collection using observation, interview and documentation study techniques. Results: Evaluation of the five families was at the adult development stage with ineffective family health management problems, the interventions carried out resulted in increased knowledge from 55% to 85%, and ineffective family health problems were resolved. Conclusion: Innovation in health education about pulmonary TB can address family health management.
