Abstract
Background: The prevalence of CKD in the United States is 1,901 people. Meanwhile, in Indonesia is about 0.2%, in Central Java including Surakarta (52.22%) and Kebumen is about 456 patients. There were 65.9% of CKD patients who have hemodialysis therapy experience anxiety. Therapy using Al-Qur'an murottal especially surah Ar-Rahman is used to overcome anxiety of the patient. Objective: To describe the application of surah Ar-Rahman reading to reduce the level of anxiety. Methods: The present study used descriptive method of one CKD patient. Instruments included HRSA questioners, a handphone containing murottal surah Ar-Rahman and a headset. Results: The evaluation showed that nursing diagnosis of anxiety has been resolved meaning that the murottal Al-Qur'an therapy (surah Ar-Rahman) effectively reduced anxiety.
