Abstract
Background: According to WHO (2010) labor rate by SC method is 10% - 15% of all labor processes in developing countries. The post SC pain can effect the mobilization and independence of the mother. Therefore, the mother and baby care depends entirely on health worker and family. Objective: To describe the application of early mobilization in nursing care to increase the independence of post SC patient. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The writer describes the facts taken from interview, direct observation, and documentation. Result: After having the application of early mobilization, the post SC patient was independently able to fulfill her activity daily life and of her baby’s in 48 hours’ time of post SC, and the independence score is 21. Conclusion: The application of early mobilization in nursing care can increase the indepence of post SC patient. Keywords : Sectio Caesarea (SC), early mobilization, independence
