Abstract
Background: Chronic renal failure is a frightening disease for some people. Chronic renal patients, new and old patients, tend to have anxiety due to dependence on hemodialysis processes that have financial, productivity and psychological impacts Objective: Giving nursing care for hemodialysis clients having anxiety. Method: This study is a descriptive with case study approach. The subject is the hemodialysis clients who have anxiety. Anxiety level is measured by using HRS-A (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) consisting of 14 statement items. The data was presented in the method of documenting and resuming nursing care. Result: Based on the result of the study, the data of case I and case II were having anxiety. It means that renal failure clients undergoing hemodialysis have anxiety problems. The writer made an action plan for building trust relationships, discussing anxiety, deep breathing relaxation techniques, and five-finger hypnotic. Nursing actions undertaken by nurses, building trust relationships, discuss about anxiety, deep breathing relaxation techniques, and five-finger hypnosis. Based on the evaluation the deep breathing technique and the five-finger hypnotic were able to decrease anxiety of hemodialysis clients anxiety. Case 1 has decreased HRSA score from 28 to 20 and case II decreased HRSA score 25 to 15 Recommendation: It is important for hospital nurses deep breathing relaxation techniques, and five-finger hypnosis to reduce moderate anxiety.
