Abstract
Background: Adolescent development stage is a development stage of children at the age of 13 – 20 years old. While adolescent development stage family is family with the birth of the first child of 13-20 years old. The inappropriateness of the family in giving parenting is very influential on the development and growth of children. Objective: Provide an overview of family nursing care at the stage of adolescent development with the inability to become parents. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through interview, physical examination, the result of questionnaire and documentation study. The subjects were Mr. H and Mrs. S. Result: After having nursing care and 4 times home visits, the family already know and understand about the task of adolescent development, how to maintain open communication, how to be a good role model, how to foster positive family relationship. Besides, there was an increase in the family’s knowledge about the danger of smoking.
