Abstract
Background: Head injury is an injury caused by trauma that resulting hurt in skin, skull and inside of brain, sometime if followed by blooding. Purpose: Describe how nursing care for head injury patient. Methode: Descriptive study case applied in this study with mild head injury patients as sample. The data obtained interviewing, observation and clinical assessment. The analysis performed naratively. Result: Head injury patients experienced pain, when they daily activities, decreased when they took do or not a rest, pain scale was 7 massively. Nursing planning in this study was non-pharmacology technik slow deep breathing it applied during 3x24 hours. The patients’ scale was from 7 to 3. Discassion: application of slow deep breathing was effectively for decrease pain in head injury. Because it can stimulate parasimpatis nerves and preventing simpatis nerves wich resposible to vasodilatation blood vessel in brain, possiblely note of oxygen supply. Conclusion: Slow deep breathing able to give positive impact to decrease pain. Recommendation: In the future, slow deep breathing must be modified.
