Abstract
Background: Many parents lack of knowledge about how to train their toddlers to do urinating and bowl disposal, and knowledge about the use of diapers or disposable diapers. They do not play good roles in educating their toddlers to do toilet training. Besides, parents still have a bad habit allowing their toddlers to urinate and to do bowl disposal anywhere. Therefore, the writer is interested in implementing health education using modeling video about behavior of parents, especially mothers to do toilet training for their toddlers. Objective: To know the implementation of health education about behavior of mothers to do toilet training for their toddlers by using modeling video in IndependentMidwifery Clinic of Midwife WidiUtami. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The technique used is purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Participants were 5 mothers and their toddlers who were still wetting the bed. Result: After being given health education using video modeling, there was an improvement on knowledge of mothers about toilet training and their better behavior in doing toilet training to their toddlers. Conclusion: Health education using modeling video can help mothers of toddlers to improve their knowledge and behavior in doing toilet training to their toddlers.
