Abstract

Background, non-pharmacological techniques are independent actions of nurses in dealing with pain. The non-pharmacological technique aims to reduce pain intensity, accelerate healing, divert pain with pleasant or soothing things. Guided imagination or guide imagery can be applied to the condition of patients who experience pain, sleep disturbances and axiety. General objective, to carry out the implementation of nursing care with major pain nursing problems with the technique of providing non-pharmacological guide imagery therapy in prostate. Result nursingcare, based on the data obtained, can ve conclude the main diagnosis in the three patients, namely chronical pain, nursing international clasification (NIC) pain mangement and pain control. Implementation teaches non—pharmacological technique to reduce pain (guided imagery). Evaluation there is a decrease in pain scale in patients after non-phamacological technique in the from guided imagination. Recommendation, it is expected that the hospital has an SPO regarding guided imagination and nurses are able to apply guided non-pharmacological imagery tehncique to reduce the patient’s pain scale.
