Abstract
Background: Congestive heart failure is a progressive clinical syndrome caused by the inability of the heart to pump blood to meet the body's metabolic needs, not only physical problems, psychological problems also often appear in patients with congestive heart failure, these predisposing factors can cause psychological problems such as stress, anxiety, and helpness, the intervention that can be done to overcome helpness is to recognize and express emotions, modify negative patterns (positive thinking exercises). Objective: Analyzing nursing care for clients with helplessness with heart failure in the Mawar room at the Regional General Hospital Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: This type of research is a case study with the number of respondents used by 3 people. Results: There is a positive change in the patient's condition which is indicated by a decrease in signs of symptoms and an increase in positive affirmations Recommendation: Providing Positive Affirmation therapy should be used in patients with helpless problems as a form of supportive therapy that can be done by nurses.
