Abstract
Background: hand hygiene is one of the behaviors that can affect a person's healthy condition. To improve hand-hygiene in a children can be done with interesting method through the application of singing method. Purpose of writing: describe the orphanage singing method with the application of nursing to improve hand-hygiene in children. Methods: this study used a type of quantitative research, descriptive design with method or approach to case study. The number of respondents above are 38, with the age 3 years. The instruments used the observation sheets of six-step handhygiene. Hand-hygiene ability in children was measured before and after the granting of singing method. Nursing care of: student in Mekarsari kindergarten of Ambalresmi unfamiliar doing hand-hygiene with six steps, it is only the origin of his hands wet. Handhygiene habits that conducted in kindergarten is unusual activity during having food and break time. The Act of singing method to improve on this children done once for 40 minutes before and after the break. The results of the evaluation of the actions, namely an increase in hand-hygiene ability in children from 5.26% to 84%, 86. Conclusion: the application of singing method can improve hand-hygiene ability in children. Recommendation: it is expected for the next researcher can apply effective method to improve singing brushing of teeth in children.
