Abstract

Background: Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB) is a direct infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis. This disease causes the oxygen diffusion process to be disrupted. The description of the mechanism of oxygen disruption in TB disease is caused by the bacteria that cause tuberculosis mycobacterium tuberculosis to enter the respiratory tract. Exposure of phlegm that is not smooth due to the ineffectiveness of the airway is the patient experiencing difficulty breathing and disruption of gas exchange in the lung. Effective coughing is an attempt to expel phlegm and keep the lungs clean. Objective: To carry out nursing care for pulmonary tuberculosis patients with the ineffectiveness of cleaning the airway in the emergency room of the Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital Purwokerto. Action: Actions taken in handling the problem of ineffective cleaning of the airway, the authors made effective coughing. Results: Nursing diagnoses that appear on the client, namely the ineffectiveness of cleaning the airway associated with restrained secretions. Evaluation: The evaluation results indicate a sign of a decrease in the problem of ineffective airway clearance in pulmonary tuberculosis patients.
