Abstract
Background. In infant with low weight birth requiring complex treatment. Hypothermia in developing countries is a cause of newborn deaths and is common especially in low weight birth who hasn’t beable to adapt to a new environment with a low temperature than the mother’s womb lenih (Sudarti, Fauziah, 2013). Aim. This paper aims to allow students to arrange nursing care and provide measures in infants disorders diagnoses of security and protection: Hypothermia. Nursing Care. On May 30 2016 show the client has not been good at sucking, cold skin, subcutaneous fat thin. After inspection obtained pulse 130x/ minute, temperature 35,5ºC, respiration 42x/ minute, laboratory L49, loss weight, diagnosis of hypothermia associated with an immature stratum corneum. Monitor the patient’s vital sign, monitor color of the skin, increase fluid and nutrition, and place in the incubator. Implementation is weigh, provide breast milk 20cc, monitor temperature of the incubator, vital signs, skin, take blood samples. Results of the conclusions drawn during the three days of hypothermia can be resolved by entering the client to incubator. Evidenced by temperature 36,4ºC, pulse 142x/ minute, respiration 42x/ minute, glucose l49 mg/ dL, fat subcutaneous thin, weight 1570 gr. Evaluation.Incubator is an efficient tool to be able to stabilize the body temperature clients to avoid hypothermia. Baby that is fed into the LAN-based incubator temperature is increased up to 36,4ºC and increased humidity up to 30-80%.
