Abstract
Background, The tsunami is one disaster that threatens several regions in the coastal areas in Indonesia. Result of the tsunami caused anxiety in coastal communities. Of the 90 respondents in Aceh obtained (70%) of respondents have a mild anxiety level. One of the things that can be affect the level of anxiety is knowledge. Purposes, Determining the relationship of knowledge with tsunami risk area of anxiety level in community coastal Bopong beach and Suwuk at Kebumen Regency. Methods, This study use correlative descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. Proportional sampling technique using random sampling with a sample of 92 respondents and statistical tests using Spearman Rank. The study was conducted in May 2019 in the village of Croton Tambakmulyo and Surorejan District of Kebumen. Result, The knowledge of villagers in tsunami risk areas Tambakmulyo & Surorejan is good that a number of 68 respondents (73.9%), the level of public anxiety is mild anxiety a number of 44 respondents (44.8%). And there is a relationship between knowledge Tsunami Risk Areas with Anxiety Level with correlation coefficient = (- 0.208 *) and p-value of 0.047 (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion, There is a relationship between knowledge with tsunami risk area of anxiety level in community coastal bopong beach and suwuk at kebumen regency. Recommendation, For further researcher to examine the factors that affect the motivation of people in disaster preparedness.
