Abstract
Background: Preschool age is a period where children often experience behavioral problems due to their unique personality processes and demand freedom. This can be influenced by parenting parents who work and do not work. Objective: Finding out the relationship of parenting (mother) who works and do not work with the development of psychosocial children of age pre school Kindergarten at Aisyiyah III Kebumen Regency. Method: This study used a type of quantitative research with design cross-sectional. Respondents in this study were parents (mother) and children in Kindergarten Aisyiyah III Kebumen Regency. There were 48 respondents by using total sampling. Data collection is done using a questionnaire. Data analysis using statistical test Spearman Rank. Research Results: Based on the results of this study, most of the parents (mothers) who works were democratic parenting as many as 12 (48%) respondents, while for parents (mothers) who did not work applied democratic parenting as many as 17 (73.9 %) respondents. And most of the children who have psychosocial development both from working mothers are as many as 11 (44%) respondents, while psychosocial development is good from mothers who do not work as many as 17 (73.9%) respondents. The results of the Spearman rank analysis can be seen that the p value is 0,000. Conclusion: There is a relationship of parenting parents (mother) who works and do not work with the development of psychosocial children of age preschool Kindergarten at Aisyiyah III Kebumen Regency. Recommendations: Further researchers are expected to examine psychosocial development such as stimulus, learning motivation, peer group and stress.
