Abstract

Background: newborns need adequate nutrition to maintain metabolic balance, babies born with the condition are not yet mature organs like the digestive system, resulting in the baby's condition often experience problems in fulfillment of nutritional needs. The general objective: Explain overview nursing care nutritional disorders fulfillment given to infants Ny.N. In the discussion of nursing problems that arise risk of nutritional imbalance less than body requirements related to the inability to swallow food, the risk of infection associated with the interruption of the continuity of the tissue as a result of cutting the umbilical. Intervention and implementation has been done by the NIC to remedy the problem to fit the NOC outcomes are balanced body weight, monitor nausea, vomiting, keep eating schedule, identification difficulty swallowing, assess client capabilities needed nutrients. In the evaluation of the implementation was done during two days of action nutrition orally and parenterally to improve the nutritional status of clients. Conclusions based on the results of the analysis showed that the administration of nutrition in newborn babies not only with oral administration but added parenteral nutrition to be more effective in improving the nutritional status.
