Abstract
Background: Infusion were obtained child at the time of hospital admission cause prolonged trauma. Infusion is procedures that cause discomfort, fear and anxiety in children. The role of parents during the child in the hospital is to undergo a collaboration between the family and the health professions and the presence of the parents who can give comfort to the child. Objective: Finding out of the role of parental relationship with the child while the action level anxiety infusion at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Research methods: This study uses a correlational with cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling with a total sample of 45 respondents. The research instrument used observation sheet the role of parent and child anxiety scale Children Fear’s Score (CFS). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and correlation kendallâ € ™ s tau Results: The results of role of parents is categorized quite that many (48.9%) while the child's anxiety level is a very afraid category that is as much (51.1%). The statistical test showed a significant relationship between the role of parents with children's anxiety level with the level of significance0,00 ( <0.05). The correlation value is obtained based on the test kendall’s tau is equal to 0.585 or in susceptible value (0.50 s / d 0.69) which shows the relationship between the two variables in the strong category. Recommendation: Further research is expected to examine the role of the nurse with the child's anxiety level when hospitalization.
