Abstract
Background head injury is the leading cause of death in productive age. Objektive most of them occur due to traffic accidents. Head injury causes obstruction of the airway. To free the airway, suction should be done by inserting a suction catheter through the patient’s mount or nose. Method the study uses a type of descriptive research that is gathering or finding facts with the right interpretation. Results from the application carried out the results obtained by clients who experiences severe head injury-on average experience a decrease in consciousness, there are additional breath sounds, rapid breathing and airway obstruction. Effective suction action to free airway obstruction. Effective suction action to clients with nursing problems in effective airway clearance associated with airway obstruction.
